Fr. Paul Nicholson was ordained to the priesthood in 1997 and is a gifted and passionate priest who shares his faith in a dynamic approach using humour, knowledge and definitely challenging men to live faithfully their call as husbands, fathers and men of faith.
The theme for this year’s conference is “Manly Courage” and
Fr. Paul will look at the qualities of a man and how men are called to defend the faith. He will attempt to offer practical assistance to the man who feels inadequate as a man. Do we have the courage to be the man God has called us to be? What are our responsibilities as a man? As a father? As a husband? What are the qualities required to live as a Catholic man?
Welcome Fr. Paul Nicholson - 2011 Men of Integrity Conference
We can look to St. Joseph as the prime example of a man. He was the faithful defender of Christ. He possesses the qualities of a just man. A man of honour, integrity, faithfulness and protector of the family. In our secularized society we are bombarded with many conflicting and confusing messages received daily from television, the internet and the mainstream media. Have we bought into popular opinion or do we have the courage to stand for what is just and right. Are we willing to make that stand with coworkers and school mates?
Fr. Paul will attempt to summon the men to the high calling of our forefathers, who recognized evil and sacrificed with manly courage to change the world. We will look to the heroes of the past.
“To go from a girl to a woman it is a matter of biology.
To go from a boy to a man is a matter of choice”.
Fr. Paul Nicholson
The quote above is not something to be looked as degrading
to women but it is to show the importance of the role of a man.
To accept his responsibilities and to “Lead by Example”.
